In summary: Perez Hilton got beat up by the Black Eyed Peas manager. Now Perez is the one with the Black Eye. During the fight, he insults Will.i.am. with a gay slur. GLAAD wants Perez to apologize. Who's the homophobe now?
People will do anything for publicity. In this world of Facebook and status updates we want to know what everyone is doing, and also want them to know what we are doing. Apparently, this also means letting everyone know that you got beaten to a pulp first before you alert the proper authorities. Can you imagine this:
Twit: OMG my house is on fire everyone! I'm being serialz lolz!

While you were twittering, your puppy died from smoke inhalation. Good job. Maybe YOU should have called the fire department first, then twittered when the whole fiasco was over.
But thats not the point. The point is that Senor(ita?) Perez Hilton wants so much attention that he lets all his tweet followers (I believe there are only 3 of them) know about his brutal smackdown before he lets the police know. If I got beat up like that, I'd be calling the police in to bust in that place and take everyone down. Now, if you have a gang, you could tweet all your homies to come in with crowbars and baseball bats and tear the place apart.
Unfortunately for Perez, he has no such gang. In fact, his own fellow “homies” (GLAAD) in the gay community don't like him. Even though he got beat up, GLAAD is asking HIM to apologize for shouting some homophobic slurs at Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. Perez might claim that he was beat up because of his flamboyant lifestyle, but I say that he got beat up for being annoying. The guy had it coming. If you want attention, you'll get and it may not be in the way you want it.
Although Perez got it in the way I wanted him to.
